This policy explains how Web Guy Mike (Wynter & Lux Pty Ltd, ABN 34 613 323 818) handles information you provide through this website. Wynter & Lux Pty Ltd is the data controller for the personal information described below.
What I collect
When you submit the enquiry form I collect the details you enter - typically your name, business name, phone, email, business type, location, existing website and a short message. Basic anonymous analytics data about page visits may also be collected.
Anonymous website analytics
To understand how this website is used, a random session id is stored in your browser for the current visit only, and is used to record which pages you view, the order you view them in, roughly how long each page is open, which buttons you click and the website or search engine you arrived from. A country and city or region level location is recorded from the network that delivers this website. No IP address, precise location, name, email address, phone number or form content is stored with this activity, and it is never used to identify you. A summary of this anonymous activity may be emailed to the site owner, including at the time of the visit. This information is kept for 90 days and then deleted automatically. Google Analytics and the Meta pixel are also used for the same purpose, in the same anonymous way.
Follow-up emails
If you enter your email address while starting a website purchase but don't complete it, I may send you one follow-up email to see whether you needed a hand. Every follow-up email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops these emails immediately. Emails about a purchase you have made - your receipt, onboarding and service - are still sent, as they are needed to deliver what you paid for.
How it's used
Only to respond to your enquiry, discuss the website service and deliver work you've asked about - on the basis of performing our contract with you and our legitimate interest in running the business. Enquiries are stored privately and are not sold or shared with third parties for their marketing.
Who it's shared with
If you purchase a website package, your order and payment details are processed by Stripe, our payment provider, who handles the sale, subscription management, payments, tax calculation and receipts. We also use trusted service providers for website hosting and email delivery, and may disclose information to authorities where required by law.
Retention and security
Information is kept only while it's needed to provide the service or meet legal obligations, then deleted or anonymised. Appropriate technical and organisational measures - including encryption and access controls - are used to protect it.
