Quotes and pricing

The standard website package has a $99 upfront website setup fee. The first 5 weeks of the managed service are free and begin only when Web Guy Mike marks the website live. This period gives the live website time to begin gathering real-world performance. After those five weeks, the service is $45 per week. The $99 upfront fee is non-refundable. Any work outside the standard package is explained and agreed before it begins.

Web Guy Mike Pro websites are individually scoped and supplied with a fixed build quote. A 25% deposit is payable before work begins. The remaining 75% of the quoted build cost is payable when the website is completed. Any ongoing website management, hosting, support and updates are tailored to the project and set out in the quote.

Revisions and scope

The build includes up to 10 pages and three revision rounds. The ongoing plan includes one small batch of website changes each month, such as wording, photos, services or business details. Extra pages, larger design work, new functionality, extra revision rounds or additional updates are priced separately and agreed before work starts.

Ownership

Domain registration or renewal, connection and management are included while the weekly service is active. Your domain name remains your property at all times and can be transferred to you if you cancel. The website is provided as a managed service while the weekly plan is active. If you cancel and want to retain the website, you can request that it be transferred to you for a fee of $2,999 plus GST. Following payment of the transfer fee, Web Guy Mike will arrange transfer where technically possible.

Cancellation

There is no lock-in contract or minimum term. You may cancel the ongoing service at any time with no cancellation fee. Once cancelled, the website will be taken offline and will no longer be hosted, maintained or supported by Web Guy Mike.

Refunds

The $99 upfront website setup fee is non-refundable. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law. To raise a question about a payment, email michael@webguymike.com.au.

Payments

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Card details are handled by Stripe and are never stored on our systems. Applicable taxes are calculated and collected at checkout. By signing up, you authorise Web Guy Mike to use your saved payment method to begin charging $45 per week automatically after the five-week free period ends, unless you cancel beforehand. The free period starts only when your website is marked live, not when you pay the setup fee. You can cancel at any time with no cancellation fee - email michael@webguymike.com.au and we'll action it for you.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service - including unlawful use, fraud or spam, infringing others' intellectual property, or interfering with the security of the website or its hosting (malware, probing or scraping).

Intellectual property

Web Guy Mike retains ownership of the service, including the underlying software, design systems, documentation and branding. Your own content remains yours.

Service level

The service is provided with care and skill, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance.

Suspension and termination

Access to the service may be suspended or terminated for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations.

Search rankings

Websites are built with sound SEO foundations, but no web designer can guarantee a specific Google ranking. Any claim otherwise should be treated with caution.
