What Should a Plumbing Website Include?
Everything that belongs on a plumbing website, and the details that decide whether someone rings you.

Most plumbing enquiries start with a problem and a phone. Water where it shouldn't be, no hot water, a drain that won't clear. Your website has about five seconds to prove you can help and make ringing you easy.
Service pages worth having
- Emergency plumbing and burst pipes
- Blocked drains and drain clearing
- Hot water system repair and replacement
- Leak detection and repairs
- Tap, toilet and cistern repairs
- Gas fitting and gas appliance installation
- Bathroom and kitchen renovations
- Roof plumbing, gutters and downpipes
- Backflow prevention and testing
- Commercial plumbing and maintenance
On each page, answer the questions the customer already has: what causes this, what will you do about it, what does it usually cost, how quickly can you get there, and what happens next.
Emergency information, done properly
Be exact. "24/7" means someone answers at 3am — if that isn't true, say what is. Publish your after-hours call-out fee. Explain what a customer should do while they wait, like where the water isolation valve usually is. That kind of practical help buys enormous goodwill.

Trust signals for plumbing
- Licence number, displayed clearly.
- Public liability insurance.
- Years in the trade and the work you specialise in.
- Warranty on workmanship and on parts.
- Genuine Google reviews.
- Whether you charge by the job or by the hour.
- Brands of hot water systems and fixtures you install.
Service areas
Name the suburbs. It saves you wasted calls, and it's how you show up in local searches. If you cover a wide area, individual location pages can help — provided each has real local content rather than a template with the suburb swapped in.
Photos
Before-and-after drain clearing, replaced hot water units, finished bathroom work, tidy pipework. Take the before shot as a habit — it's half the story.
The enquiry form
Four fields: name, phone, suburb, problem. Anything longer gets abandoned by someone standing in a wet laundry.

- Fast on mobile data.
- Readable at arm's length on a phone.

Plumbing website checklist
- Tap-to-call number in the header of every page

Common questions
- Should I publish prices for common jobs?
- A range or a call-out fee helps far more than it hurts. People filter on uncertainty, and being upfront reduces the quotes you waste time on.
- Do I need a separate page for every suburb?
- Only where you genuinely work and can write something real about the area. See do location pages help SEO.
